Bespoke Personal Impact Training Course
The bespoke course is designed to deal with your own personal concerns (or your bosses). How you come across as a leader with authority and build rapport with others is important. You will benefit from expert knowledge, honest feedback and role-playing (presenting and work conversations). We can look at your speaking pace, whether you speak to slow or fast and how to maintain interest with your voice (intonation, breathing, emphasis). Speech tics such as repetitious phrases (um, you know) and physical tics (scratching your head, tapping your foot) can be addressed. Deciding on what you want to say and how to say it powerfully and memorably will be covered. Body language observations and tips will help you appear relaxed and confident.
Bespoke Personal Impact Training Course FAQs
What exactly do you teach in personal impact training?
The beauty of this course is that it starts from where you are. We have extensive experience in coaching individuals at all levels—from junior professionals to senior leaders—on how to enhance their impact when they speak. Even if you’re not sure what you need to work on, we can assess and guide you toward quick improvements.
Our training is highly bespoke and may include:
- Speaking with confidence
- Using more engaging and natural language
- Telling more stories
- Incorporating more examples
- Using evidence more effectively
- Enhancing communication with metaphors and analogies
- Speaking at a more controlled pace
- Adding more energy to your delivery
- Structuring messages clearly ensuring your audience hears what truly matters
- Preparing reactive responses for unexpected questions
Will I remember what you teach me?
Absolutely. As professional coaches, we use proven techniques to make training memorable. We also use video recordings as a training aid, allowing you to see your progress firsthand. Watching yourself can reinforce new behaviours, helping them become second nature. Additionally, we provide personalized coaching notes that summarize key takeaways, so you can refer back to them whenever needed.
How long does Personal Impact Training take?
We recommend two 2-hour online sessions via Zoom or Teams, offering a private, one-to-one learning experience with one of our expert trainers. If you feel two sessions aren’t enough, you’re welcome to book additional sessions—either immediately or at a later date.
Where does the training take place?
We strongly recommend online training via Zoom or Teams. This approach is cost-effective and highly efficient, and our clients consistently tell us it works exceptionally well.
What are the qualifications of the trainers?
All of our trainers have 20+ years of experience helping professionals communicate more effectively. Whether it’s for presentations, town hall meetings, media interviews, or one-on-one conversations, we cover skills that are rarely taught in schools or universities. You may be surprised by how much you can learn about something as fundamental as speaking.
How will you know what to teach me?
Our experience allows us to quickly identify areas for improvement, but this training is driven by you. Before your sessions, we typically schedule a free consultation call. This allows you to discuss your reasons for booking the training, your concerns, and the specific skills you want to develop.
Do I need to prepare for the training?
No detailed preparation is required. However, it’s helpful to have clarity on what you’d like to improve and what you want to achieve. Having a clear purpose will make your sessions highly focused and productive.
I wish I knew 30 years ago what I know now! Understanding how you come across, and understanding that bad habits can be easily changed opens a whole new world of achievement.
